On the boat at the Nellie, there were four men, the Director of Company, the Lawyer, the Accountant, and Charlie Marlow. One day in the evening, Marlow began talking about his former times experience. It's about Mr Kurtz who is excellent negotiator and ivory in Africa.
It was novella written by Joseph Conrad in United Kingdom in 1899. It was remade to movie the title is "Apocalypse Now " or was translated a lot of language. The story described human heart of darkness through the issue of ivory or invasion of black people. The pace of story is slow and I was not able to understand enough at once, but I think reading again and again, you can feel the deep message of the story

I've never heard the title, "Heart of Darkness", and the title sounds like mystery story. But through reading your post, I found that it's different. Though I don't like reading stories about the deep issues, I want to read it and find the deep message to broaden my horizons!
