This book was confusing me. It is almost only a talk. It's very serious I thought, because there are a lot of slaves working for European countries. If you read this book, you should know about that time.

Heart of Darkness
"Heart of Darkness" was written by Joseph Conrad in 1902. In that time, Britain is in the Industrial Revolution. Western countries have a colony like Africa then. Marlow is a main character of this book. He is a seaman. The speaker is him, and the writer is listening. Marlow went to Africa with ship. He saw a lot of slaves. The people live in Africa were used as slaves in Europe. He met a man whose name is Kruz. He worked very good, but ......

I believe this book allows us to see that every people including Africans have a right to be happy. No one can be treated as like slaves. This sounds like a very serious problem that we have to think; some people struggle for their race.
