JANE EYRE


JANE EYRE


     The author, Charlotte Brontë and it published in 1847.
    The main character of this story, Jane Eyre became an abandon and her aunt Ms. Reed grew up her. One day, she was sent to Lo-wood and met Mr. Temple and Helen. Through Helen, she learnt patience and piety. But Helen got T.B. and died. Jane spent for six years as a student and for two years as a teacher in Lo-wood. After that, she worked as a private teacher. At that time, the master of the family, Mr.Rochester proposed her, but she noticed he had a wife. She left his house. But she got lost and Saint John and his sisters helped her, then they lived together. Some time later, the sisters were Jane's cousins. After one year, Saint John asked her to come India as his wife. The very time, Jane heard Rochester's voice and she decided to go back to him. And she knew that the wife died and he lost his arm and blind. Finally, she decided to...

     I recommend you to read this book. There are lots of things we have to think about. And the way of women's life are difficult but we have to have a strong will and decide how to live in this world. I really want you to try this even if it's Japanese.

  1. Hi Yurika! I am interested in your post and this book. As I read 'Gone with the wind', I found out how difficult it was that women live alone before. Women were considered not to be strong.
    I think both 'Gone with the wind' and 'Jane Eyre' have a similar point.

    thank you for your comment. in gone with the wind, the women's life style or position is really difficult. but strong... mmm... dicrimination like this, is never disappeare?
