THE COLD MOUNTAIN

     This week I read the book "The cold mountain". It was published in 1996, written by Charles Frazier. This is not a happy ending story, the story about war. The theme is how terrible war is; war is always separate people and makes lots of people sad.

     In 1864, in America, there was a civil war. Inman (the main character) was a one of the soldier. After he was injured, he sent to the hospital, but he tried to escape. Actually, he had a wife, Ada, so he wanted to see his wife again. He had to cross the mountain called "Cold mountain" and across over the mountain his wife was there with the other women, Ruby. In his journey, he saw lots of misery things and he had to survive. He changed, at first he couldn't kill anyone but after experienced the war he didn't hesitate to kill. Finally, he reached, but Ada couldn't recognize him at first, because he totally changed, but later she could. They started a new life, but.......

      I recommend you to read this, because we have never experience such a cruel thing like war, and I hope we never experience that. But we should know what is that and how is that and what is the benefit. If there is a rule, what is the rule for that?
