The Citadel

This story was written by A.J.Cronin.The young doctor whose name is Andrew works for money, his pride, faced to his own life.
Andrew studied at the university in Scottland. He got a schalarship because he didn't have enough money. Though he graduated  with the best prise but he had to pay back for that. Then he decided to go to the hospital at a coal mine to do that. He worked instead of another doctor, who was suffering from disease and couldn't get up from the bed. He became to work really hard for not money, but his patients abd their family. Then he got married a woman who was a teacher in an elementary school.
He became famous, and moved to London. He got much money and he lost his passion. He worked as a doctor just for money. His wife was very sad with that and finally she passed away. Then it made him open his eyes and he realised his attitude.

I think it was quite a nice story. Actually my grand father was a doctor for brain. I always heard and see that he thought about his patients all the time, when I was back to his house. In this world, there are many doctor who worked for just money. Also there are manyn doctor who have much resign with working. But Andrew didn't give up. He worked for his patients very hard, fighted with politicians. The most thing I love in this story is that Andrew became to work for money at once. It expresed a real human being. Yes, if you would give 10000000 yen, how many people say "No, thatnk you"? No one has no part of greed. It's natural. I also like that he could face to one of his ugly parts. I like this story.
