This book is a little sad story, but the protagonist of this story is very positive. Anyways, the protagonist is a dog, Buck. The story published in 19c and it was about a Gold rush in America(actually in Alaska). At first, he was living with a person, Mr. Miller who had Buck before, very quietly and happily. One day, Mr. Miller's gardener, Manuel, stole Buck and sold him. And suddenly, he had to have a training for becoming a sledge dog.It was too hard for him because he never experienced like that before. He was big dog (his weight was 60kg!) but he was not strong and didn't know how to survive in the wild. First day, he couldn't get along well with other dogs and one day he couldn't sleep in his bed, but the time to spend with other sledge dogs made him stronger and becoming wild.
The theme of this story is difficult to understand, but I think it is to be strong and survive in the "wild" is difficult. I will recommend you to read this book, if you like animals especially dogs or interesting the sledge dogs. But if you have dogs for pets, I don't recommend, because in that story, some people were very violent to the dogs, so you feel uncomfortable. Whichever, I will strongly recommend this story who don't have a confident to survive in the "wild".
