Birthday Party

 One day, a woman and a man was eating dinner at restaurant. They were seem to be married and they were. That day was the man's birthday, so his wife was planing to surprise him at the restaurant. The restaurant employee were singing Happy Birthday song with orchestra, and some of other guests were claping their hands. Employee also bring him a cake. The woman looked satisfied about the surprise, but her husband wasn't happy. He didn't like this kind of surprise. He said somethind not kind to his wife. The woman cried quietly.
 From this story, I thought surprising is common in American culture, because employee or guests are all cooperative with this surprising. However, this man didn't like surprising, and his wife didn't know that. This is because, this couple had less communication, I think. This story was written in 1946, immediately following the war. I think they are not love marriage, and also because of the war, they couldn't spend much time together. Therefore, they weren't understanding each other. This is very deep story.
