I know why the Caged Bird Sings

This book is about Maya Angelou, an American author and poet. She had published six autobiographies, five books of essays, numerous books of poetry, and this book is the first series of six autobiographies. The story is about her life from 3 years old to 17 years old. She is African American. She was segregated and prejudiced, but she had a strong heart and hope, so she fighted against them.

When I read this book, I thought she is very strong. She never loose her strong heart and hope. I realy respect her. The title of this book is very important. I think this title, " I Know Why the Caged Bird Sing", means it wants to fly. It wants freedom, not singing becouse it is happy. I think Maya compare herself with the bird.This book teach us many important things, so I want to read the following story.
