This story was written by Rod Neilsen. It is set in Australia. The main character is Don who is an experienced pilot. He had a family, but he divorced because he puts his work before his family. He left his wife Sylvia and his daughter Judy, and moved to Pacific Islands.
One day, Don's old friend and teacher Paul was called by a man who works for the goverment. He offered Paul to fly an old plane called the Sugar Glider and pick up some stuff from a mine and fly it to Melborne. He said if you accept the job, you get a lot of money. Paul planned to retire from flying and start a flying school, so he thoght he could start it with that amount of money. Somhow, he knew Paul's plan. He also said you'll need a good co-pilot with you, and suggested Don. Paul wondered why he knew so much about him and human relations, but he finally accepted the job.
Don was coming back and see his ex-wife and daughter to Brisbane. Paul also went there to ask him the job. In there, he knew Sylvia had a new boyfriend whose name is Petersen. When Dan heard the job from Paul, he was surprised first, but he accept it. His daughter Judy was interested in their job, so they dicided to go with her. It was kept secret from Sylvia. They succeeded in picking up some stuff in the mine, but Paul knew how horrible the job was.................
This story is quite long, but I really enjoyed reading it. There are many surprise points. The theme is adventure and family's love. When I saw this book's cover at first, I didn't except this is adventure story. I thought this is just about plane or pilot. As I read this story, I couldn't stop reading it. I was really impressed by father's love and daughter's love. They helped each other. Thanks to them, I realized the way proper family's love should be. I learned from this story love and trust is the most important in the family. Do you cherish your family? I honestly recommend this to my class mates.
I read this book, so I had interest in your blog. I felt family love, Don and Judy, in this story like you. They help each other. I thought family is really important. This story is very interesting, so if our classmates read this book, they will not stop reading!
