This story is about the life of one man who is not only smart but also stupid. There are two personalities within Jekyll, one is good and the other is evil. Jekyll couldn't show his evil character. He thought if he could sort out the evil character from Jekyll and make other person who is evil. Fortunately, no, un fortunately, he did it. He finally made special drug. After drinking the drug, his appearance changed into another man who was pure evil. The evil man is Hyde. His appearance is different from Jekyll's one. Even though Jekyll's friends saw Hyde, they didn't realize that Hyde was Jekyll. Why did Jekyll try to separate his characters? He should have accepted both characters. I understand there is no person who is perfect. I sometimes like me and I sometimes hate me too. However I understand my bad character. Of course, Jekyll' differences between good personality and bad one are larger than mine. But he could consult his friends and share those problems together. He had special friends like Utterson. If I were him, I would unburden myself of my secret. So, this theme is that to accept our personalities is important. It is also important to have good friends and share our problems. I have some nice friends, but I want to make friends like this in university too!
If you like to read mysteries, you should read this book! There are some terrifying scene that Hyde did something. But you will find important things after reading this!
